Have you wanted to start reading and watching more classic novels and films?
This is the group for you!
Each month we will read and watch the adaptation of a classic work of literature. You can expect great conversations, delicious desserts, and creating a community of new friends!
This page will hold all of the updates for what we're going to read and watch a few months in advance. We hope everyone has enough time to read and plan for what's coming.
This is a stress-free group. If you can't finish the book but still want to discuss what you read, you can still come! If you don't want to read the book but would like to watch the movie with us, you can do that as well. No pressure.
January/February 2026

In January we will be reading Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.

When Mr. Earnshaw, master of Wuthering Heights, returns from a trip with an unkempt orphan in tow, he announces that the child, Heathcliff, is now a member of the family. While young Catherine Earnshaw becomes close with Heathcliff, her older brother Hindley sinks into bitter resentment. As Catherine and Heathcliff mature, and their affection blossoms into desire, Hindley's resentment boils over into hatred, setting the stage for a tragic drama whose aftermath will shake the foundations of their world.

Our book discussion will be held: Sunday, January 25th at 3pm. There will be tea and dessert provided.

On February 13, 2026 a new adaptation will be released in the cinema featuring Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie.
We will be going as a group to Regal Cinemas Kingston on Sunday 2/15 for the 12:50pm show. If you would like me to purchase your ticket so we can all sit together please text 774-260-5215 by February 1st. with your name and the amount of tickets you would like. If you prefer to get your owns seats here is the LINK. **You do not need to have read the book or attended the discussion to come with us.
If you can't read the book or see the film with us, but are interested in seeing another adaptation, I HIGHLY recommend renting this version with real life husband and wife team Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley. It's my favorite. : https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B0DNGGWLX1/ref=atv_dp_share_cu_r
